Clarinet73 tells what BoFa means to her:
For me, it's the people in the clan that make it what it is. Although a lot of us have been busy with this so-called "real life" stuff, it's the people that keep me in BoFA and not even contemplating going somewhere else. I can't tell you how EXCITED I've been in the last few weeks that /clan has been busier. I've been SO happy to have my friends to chat with as I play my turns... as we spade stuff together... as we curse the RNG's screwage or praise the devsters for their creativity in the new material. It's knowing that no matter how much real-life crap gets thrown at us, I've got friends here that will take notice and care.
Gem sums up BoFA in this way:
Ballad of Fallen Angels is a group of players (naturally, I should hope so, I rather us not be something like evil little aliens from pluto with three heads, 11 breasts and 49 eyes) that very much enjoy to having fun and getting into some rather wild antics from time to time.
If you are new to BoFA, there are several ways in which you can get to know you clan mates. /c clan chat is, by far the best. This is the place most of those wild antics go on. Just keep this in mind upon your first visits to /c clan chat, quite a few members have nick names, so don't be to disturbed or confused if some says something to "tiger" even if there is no tiger in the room, just go with the flow and you'll figure out who Tiger is. /c clan chat is also a great place to get help if you are stuck. Just ask and someone shall provide. People have no problem here with being generous and helpful.
Another way is the forum. You can find a link to it on the left hand side of the page. Alot of things go on in the forum and is well worth the look. You can also find introduction threads from your fellow clan mates.
We here at BoFA also have a great love of contests and games. Every Friday, we have a friday game(announced and details given in the forum). There are usually several winners. There is also the weekly puzzle on the BoFA homepage (which Donna doesn't update often *hint hint*). Every so often members will hold events that last about a week, where the hold contests and raffles and give away prizes.
Ocassonally someone will put on a radio show and there is great (or in Bluespacething's opinion of Donna's rollover music, really crappy) tunes for all and usually some very hawt voices to be heard. There is usually notice before hand when someone will be doing a radio show posted in the forum.
BoFA is a great place to kick it and have some fun and a good giggle or eight.
And bluespacething tells us a bit about how BoFA came to be:
BFA is a clan that was created by former members of the Renegades of Funk. DonnaMatrix wanted to move in a new direction, so several members went with her to form the new clan. We have many of the older regulars from /c games, and several others who are known throughout the Kingdom. While Ballad of Fallen Angels hasn't been around for a great length of time, it has accomplished much. The 7 Days in Heaven celebration went over well with contest and anti-raffle galore.
Ballad of Fallen Angels is a clan that was formed not for warfare, but for lovin'. We are not interested in goodie sacks or fighting with other clans, but in philanthropy and having fun. We just wish to co-exist peacefully with the other clans of the Kingdom. We have been through a lot together and enjoy each other's company. We joined KoL to play a game and we decided to stay because of the friends we made.
And lastly, Ballad of Fallen Angels is one of the best clans in KoL (you know, I'm not biased or anything).
